John Harwood has had a long and distinguished acting career in Great Britain which has included working with directors such as Peter Brook and Franco Zeffirelli for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Working alongside some of Britain's greatest actors over many decades, he has made many appearances in London's West End as well as at theatres across the country. He also has close ties with Austria and is known throughout the country for his performances in schools for "Vienna's English Theatre" between 1977 and 1995; he also directed many productions. He is at present on a major tour of Great Britain with "Murder at the Vicarage", by Agatha Christie. As "actor in residence" and in the parts of Prospero in "The Tempest", The Ghost and Player King in "Hamlet" and Lear from "King Lear" John has shared his immense expertise and experience with several young European casts which were gathered about him.
